Machine Records' earliest releases were all distributed primarily as special CD-R limited editions. We aimed to make each CD-R a work of art in its own right.

We have three original 2004 versions of this split EP which introduced two new artists to the label - Superimpozer and Anatomist. It features beautiful original artwork by Dan Haines printed on high-quality photographic paper, nestled inside a clear plastic slipcase. The CD-R disc has a full-face printed top.

Thanks to the plastic slipcase and careful storage, it remains in brand new condition.

about

SUPERIMPOZER and ANATOMIST each offer up around 30 minutes of genre-fucking, foot-tapping electronica.

Over 11 stand-out tracks, SUPERIMPOZER and ANATOMIST produce their own unique, sample- shredding, innovative takes on contemporary leftfield IDM, with unmissable results.

RADIO 1:
It says here that South Wales electro-funk producer Anatomist has been shaping sine waves and tweaking filters on the cutting-edge of the electronica underground since the late 90s, which would explain why his half of a new split album on Cardiff's Machine Records sounds so accomplished: a collection of tracks with the propulsive, bouncy energy of big beat, but the crunchy digital edge sported by pretty much any experimental electronica act worth their salt. Catch him live playing at Machine Records' monthly residency at Journeys in Clifton Street, Cardiff.

BUZZ MAGAZINE:
More quality budget bass 'n' breaks from Cardiff's number one underground electronics imprint. Superimpozer, from London, and Cardiff's Anatomist get six and five tracks respectively on their split CD, and make good with their edgy ambience, clatterbeat drum damage and homebaked techno. Superimpozer, especially, is a talent worthy of investigation by more labels, and soon.

SMALLFISH RECORDS:
Machine Records are turning out to be a very interesting little label indeed. This SPLIT EP from the two named artists starts off deep, dark, beaty and electronic and soon becomes a more twisted, manipulated sound over the course of the CD. Crispy rhythms and crunchy noises are the order of the day. Anyone into SCHEMATIC etc. should definitely check these releases out.
